Serve as the sole software engineer of the Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory Information Management Stem (FTDTL-IMS) within the United States Air Force with duty at Headquarters Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory (HQ AFDTL).  Responsible for developing, maintaining, and upgrading software applications for the AFDTL-IMS.  Work as part of a team of information technology specialists composed of government employees and/or contractor personnel.  Responsible for researching, engineering, defining, documenting, and interpreting technical requirements of integrated and stand-alone medical information systems which have been developed by the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) or Department of Defense and installed in DoD Drug Testing Laboratories throughout the country or in use by military organizations throughout DoD.  Responsible for multiple projects impacting forensic urinalysis drug testing throughout DoD.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in applying advanced technical expertise and demonstrated experience in application development principles, concept, methods, standards, and practices to support mission requirements.  Employee knowledge, skills and abilities are critical to developing requirements and specifications in support of the Air Force Drug Demand Reduction Program mission.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with  systems analysis of design techniques, as well as overall database structures and administrative duties to verify data integrity and assess table statistics.  Has ability to apply a structured systems analysis approach to the design and development of new and enhanced applications.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with setup and configuration requirements needed to build web-based applications utilizing Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and specialized server utilities such as Microsoft E-Commerce Solutions.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with other web programming languages in sufficient detail to permit the efficient conversion of legacy applications using these languages to the current environment.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with Structure Query Language (SQL) in sufficient detail to write complex queries used to extract data from relational databases such as Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, Access, etc.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with software and hardware troubleshooting techniques involved in desktop, printer, and other computer systems recovery and backup as needed by HQ AFDTL staff.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience is required in the following areas:
- Operating systems: Solaris 2.10 (or newer or similar)
- Relational Database Management Systems: Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g with special emphasis on: PL/SQL and SQL*Plus, forms, and reports (or newer or similar) Cerity (or newer or similar)
